About Funshine

Funshine is an exceptional early childhood program offered by Clarkston Community Schools. Introduced in 1983, Funshine operates on two Clarkston campuses - the Early Childhood Center and Clarkston High School.

QUALIFIED STAFF

Each staff member has been carefully selected and trained. We require a higher standard of certification than the State mandates, which means our teachers are Michigan Certified or Early Childhood certified.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that children learn best through purposeful play and social interaction. We have small classes that provide extensive opportunities for students to excel in active learning!

ACADEMICS

We strive to meet each child at their academic level. We focus on feeding their love of learning, while building a firm foundation of basic skills. Each class incorporates curriculum that is aligned with the Clarkston School's curriculum.
